SECTION 8 is Jason (Gtrs & Vox, 20), Anton (Drums, 22), Matt (Lead Vox & Gtrs, 19), and Yannick (bass, 19).
The metal quartet from La Crescenta met in high school and set out to shatter the old rock standards and take the music world by storm. Their debut EP Destroy The World Before Bedtime broadened their fan base and went on to sell over 750 units on it's own.
The edgy Rock sound they developed had those who came to see the band, mesmerized by their powerful lyrics and addictive riffs. With their highly charged performances, and after having played such high profile venues as the Hollywood Palace, The Whisky, and the Roxy, SECTION 8 has become a familiar and crowd-drawing name in the local scene.
The follow up EP titled The Halo Effect presented an even more mature and credible song-writing force and gained the band an even bigger fan base. The Halo Effect EP has sold over 2500 units to date (and still going strong). The band tours extensively and frequently opens for major label acts, including Avenged Sevenfold, No Use For A Name, Strung Out, Nevea Tears, Ozma and more.
A follow up release is scheduled later this year with returning producer Lior Goldenberg
